Due date for completion: 6 PM GST, Monday 18th, June 2018 (the earlier the better) Review date/s: If possible, Thursday 14th, June 2018 Key objectives: These rendered images will be used to gauge interest in a proposed desert community in a conservative Middle East country. There are 3 types of buildings we would like rendered over the desert that is shown in the images named “Desert Landscape” #1-3. The desert is not an ordinary desert, it is considered a “Wadi” which is Arabic for valley. It is very important that from the images rendered, the landscape and topography captured in “Desert Landscape” #1-3 is recognizable. Also attached are examples of each of the 3 types of buildings in a non-desert context. The following are descriptions of each of the 3 types of buildings we want rendered over the desert environment: - Farming Community: Instead of the typical high-end planned community which features a golf course in the middle, our proposed farming community features a farm replacing the golf course. Each individual home itself has small farming plots somewhere in its vicinity. The houses are of standardized design throughout the community. Each unit is in the 400k – 600k price range. Examples of this are Harvest Green in Texas, USA and Wadi el Nakhil, Egypt. o Note: The house in Farming Community #3 is too western, so please use the house from Farming Community #2. Do, however, keep the small farm plots from Farming Community #3. - Villas / Ranches: This type of community is for a richer segment than the Farming Community and so features large, open plots of land with a large independently designed villa at the center. Each unit would cost above 1 Mil USD. An example of of Villas / Ranches is Sea Ranch, California, USA. - Hospitality/Wellness: These resorts offer a get-away from the stress and ills of urban life, adding in the purity of the desert. These are high-end resorts, isolated from noise and distractions. Staying here would cost north of 500 USD per night. The attached images named after the three types of buildings are to be used for inspiration and are only examples of the concept found elsewhere. Please modify so that the buildings look like they belong in the Middle East. Appendix A includes a larger list of subcategories of buildings within the three main categories we’d like the images to focus on, but also includes other categories that you might include if possible. Target audience: The majority of the viewers of this image come from a conservative Muslim society so please keep out anything from the images that would be considered offensive or immoral. The target audience will also largely be upper-class Arabs possibly with families so a certain sense of Middle Eastern luxury is also a requirement. These images should show communities in which families would thrive. In addition, this planned community is near an important national heritage site so both the people and the buildings should be respectful of that. Scope: Three images that combine the desert landscape featured in the “Desert Landscape” photos with the types of buildings featured in the images named after the three categories above. Purpose and function: These images will be used in focus group and individual interviews done in person. They may be used digitally, but that is not planned as of now. It will also be used in business-formal presentations to very important clients. Format: These pictures are to be used for print and web. We want both Photoshop and .PNG file formats (or in some other lossless file format). Please make the images high resolution. Attachments: Relevant attachments include Desert Landscape #1-3, Farming Community #1-3, Villas & Ranches #1-3, and Hospitality & Wellness #1-3. Measures of success: Through the Review Date my team and I will let you know if the images are appropriate. If not, we will suggest changes and expect them to be implemented by the Due Date.
