For our Trade account customers (not general retail customers, just trade accounts only), we want to design an App for them to be able to place their orders for goods via a live online service.
They would register a login account, and then once active they would login, choose which store location they wanted, choose a delivery or pickup method and then choose their order including quantities and tint colours. It would also need to have a field for them to write in other products as our stock database is too large and continually changing to have all items listed.
Their order would then appear on a database in our store locations, where the staff are able to update the status of the customers order as it proceeds. The customer would then be able to track the status of their order as it is updated back on their app.
There would also be another "instant message" type function whereby they could send enquiries through to the store database.
We would need to have access to some functionality whereby we can update the "general" products that are listed for choosing.
The overall aim is to streamline the ordering process for our staff, by limiting the amount of calls that they need to take to write down the tradesmans orders as well as enabling the tradesmen to be able to place their orders out of hours when the store is not open to take phone calls.
Ideally there would also be a webpage available for those customers without Iphone connectability, which would link from our current website.
