We’d like for you to design a 6.125” x 9.25” hardcover for us. Here’s the information on the book:
Title: Agile PR
Subtitle: Expert Messaging in a Hyper-Connected, Always-On World
Author: Marian Salzman and the team at Havas PR
(for the author treatment, we'd like "Marian Salzman" to be 2-3" wide, with "and the team at Havas PR" follow her on the same line but in much smaller type. We want it to be clear that she is the author and they are helping.)
Audience: PR (Public Relations) professionals who need to understand the latest techniques for how to send out truly effective communication messages about their clients in our very complicated, fast-moving, and, ever-changing world. This book book covers social media and online activities extensively, but it is NOT a technical or “computer” book. It’s closer to a marketing book in feel
Over all “look and feel”: We need something very hip and contemporary, but in an adult, professional way. A bit like “Wired” magazine. It should be bold and attention-grabbing, but not “heavy-” feeling, as it’s about being agile. Maybe there’s one surprising element that says “agile.” The book should say: this is the most cutting-edge book on public relations.
Possible imagery: This should be most text with a big title, but we would like some image, even if it’s embedded within the title. Agile means flexible, nimble, can move quickly and change directions easily, so:
- the title could have a bit of “agility” within the way it appears.
- Another direction would be some image that implies navigating the world of texting, websites, newspapers, magazines, twitter — that is, approaching all the media in a flexible way.
- or, possibly something connections,
- or, the 24/7, always-on new nature of PR
- maybe one hand-written element
We do not want any stock photos of businesspeople in suits
Published books with similar feel: I’m attaching a group of books I’m calling HipProfessional to give you an idea of the general feeling.
Some information about the book is attached.
NOTE: Please show me your designs as a face-front, flat image. You’re welcome to also include an angled “3D” version if you want, but we want to be able to compare all the designs in a FLAT format. We prefer jpgs that are about 1200 pixels tall. We do not want to see a spine or a back cover.
Thanks, Cathleen Ouderkirk
