I'm looking for a commercial cover that fits in with other sci-fi books that are dystopian. I'm thinking badass-looking woman with a semi-dystopian cityscape in the background, but I'm very open to other ideas, such as an image of her putting someone under (think eyes closed, electrodes on their head). In the book, her targets get put to sleep, but sometimes she has to go under too.
The story has a gritty, urban feel. The main character grew up poor, she constantly struggles to feel safe in her world, and she longs to get promoted to the top tier of the mindjacking order (which will mean getting to leave her shitty neighborhood), but she's hit with setback after setback. Setting: imagine Phoenix after climate change--super hot (like 130F in summer), drought, no greenery because it all died. Main themes are climate change/drought, economic inequities, and struggling for empowerment.
Main character is 28, small build. She'd typically wear cargoes or jeans and a leather jacket, but any urban wear is okay, I think. She has chin-length blonde hair, but often wears wigs while on the job, so that's flex too. Also, she carries brass knuckles with her at all times (and will wear them on her left hand).
