Descripción del libro
This is a collection of poems that reflect the experience of coming of age: grappling with life, love and identity. The collection is inspired by the strength of the author's grandmothers and the aloes they planted. Aloes are seen as trees of resurrection and healing; a metaphor for the young woman's journey from displacement to self-acceptance and the ultimate realisation of her own inner strength.
