Do Nothing: The Only Way to Accomplish Anything in God's Kingdom
Biografía del autor
Unnecessary for the back cover of this book.
Descripción del libro
Teaching Christians how to do less and let God accomplish what needs to be done through them. It centers on the Bible passage from John 15:5 in particular.
Público al que se apunta
In Do Nothing, I am writing for Christians who identify with terms like achievers, hustlers, producers, builders, creators, performers, hard-workers, do-gooders, et al. They seek success, especially in spiritual terms. They have an expectation regarding how God will effectively use them. They will be people who likely attend church regularly but feel burnt out because of religion and trying to do the “right” thing. They need a better, simpler way of life.

Diseño de inspiración
I like the look of this when there is an illustrated look to the image. I'm open to this style.
Simple, clean, peaceful, very much want I'm trying to convey.
Th color and title pops, even though I'm not crazy about the color exactly. It was the third best option in the provided designs.

Necesidades de diseño
I very much sans serif fonts that are solid and have weight to them. The mood should focus on either (a) the minimalism and simplicity of this idea or (b) the contrast of this simplicity to the typical messages being taught everywhere (e.g. do something, work hard, earn it, make it happen, you can do it, you got this, try harder, hustle, etc.). I prefer clean and simple overall, but the title should feel bold, provocative, and counter-cultural at the same time.
Lo que debe evitarse
I think it would be better if the cover does not include any real photography, but I am open to it.
Nice cover, bold color to capture attention.
I very much like the look and feel of this. The color is quite soothing, as well.
Classic, bold inspiration.
With some of the design concepts I sketched out, I thought something similar to this could work, where a sticky note or scratched out text could look/feel real, like the tape does in this image.
Very modern and appealing. I want to pick it up. The background color also very much has the feel of "nothing" or "rest", as the book discusses.
Again, a bold color, while remaining simple and intriguing.
I was thinking the "NOTHING" in this case could look/feel like it was disappearing/fading away or transparent in some way.
I was thinking the other words here could be spot printed eventually, or very faint, to juxtapose the opposite ideas against the title of this book. I was think te other phrases that would be best would be: Hustle / Earn It / Try Harder / Make It Happen
This could be a pile (or single) fruit in the corner. Something bold, like an orange. OR it cold be a BIG orange in comparison to a small cutie. Something like that.
Red pen or something like that crossing off Something.
A sticky note overlaid on a goal list with opposing ideas.
I would like to see some concept like this (it does not need to be black, nor does it need this type face, but I would like to see how this could turn out without my own rough sketch.
