We would like a book cover for this book:
PUSHING HEALTHCARE TO THE TIPPING POINT: A Handbook for the Revolutionaries - Doctors, nurses, healthcare leaders, inventors, investors, employers, insurers, governments, consumers, You.
This cover must be dynamic, preferably showing some kind of tipping point, graphically. One way I have been picturing the cover is as kinetic text, in which the word Pushing is actually pushing the words, “Healthcare Tipping Point” somehow so they are tipping, but you see what you come up with. I'm not attached to that and I'm not a graphic designer!
We really labored over this title and sought many opinions. We know that it's very long, and we have all three sections for very important reasons. Please do not shrink any of the sections of the title (except maybe small words, like “to the”) so that they're so small or so pale that they cannot easily be read. The list in the last third of the title can be presented in a different way from the first two parts of the title but all three sections of the title are important.
We realize that for an Amazon thumbnail, you’ll have to make sure that the main title is legible, so you may have to make some hard choices. (Perhaps we’ll end up with two images? A simplified image for Amazon thumbnails and a more complete image for the book’s actual cover? I don’t know if this can be done.)
Please do not include military or political visual metaphors. No flags, no fists, no guns. This is a revolution of ideas in business. This must not look like a wonky book, nor a technical book, nor a medical book. it is a call to action and a new paradigm, for people to take real risks with their businesses for a good cause, to improve healthcare for everyone, while making good choices for their businesses. Therefore it must be dynamic, not static; imply velocity, urgency, and not just crisis, but opportunity. One of the key ideas here, is that this is an opportunity to DO THE RIGHT THING, while making good business decisions. Our core audience is people who want to feel good about what they are doing, not just be scared into it. This is about hope.
Another key thing about the book: It is truly a handbook. It has sections addressed to each of the categories of people in the list at the end of the title. They can literally read through the book and find sections telling them directly what to do. Inside the book, they are grouped into 6 groups, they're not listed the way they are in the title, but every one of them in this list is given instructions. Ideally, you would somehow visually make clear that this is a handbook with instructions for these people. This feature is unique in books by futurists, they don't usually tell you what to do, so we would really like these readers to want to look inside to see what they can learn. We are going to have the interior designed that will follow your lead on the cover.
