I need a book cover for a how-to book, titled 'Executive Impact for Young Professionals and Entrepreneurs.'
The content comprises dozens of distinct strategies on developing personal impact for the title audience. The strategies use a broad sweep across psychology, neuroscience, productivity, creativity, charisma and competition, and are tied together in system for personal impact.
I don't have a clear view on what cover would work best, but I do think a bold image with large (page dominating) title text is good.
My instinct is to avoid ambiguous or staid serious images, or anything functional/mechanical (like a business image from a PowerPoint or Excel). No stern or cheesy smiley businessmen in suits either please!
The cover's more about selling a persona, which is a bit more individual than standard corporate stock. It's also not about the mechanics of impact, which are inside the book. Perhaps then it's doing something creative with the title - but nothing too stern or serious!
Finally, I would like room for a blurb at the bottom of the title page '5 Dozen Practical Strategies to transform your work and life in a week.'
