The novel is an old testament epic done in four episodes. It is in a literary style consistent with the genre. The target audience is anyone who has read the Bible or is thinking about picking it up. The novel has Eleven battles, eight major and four battles that fill in small cracks and wide gaps but always confirming agreed on outcomes. There is also a love story to help soften the blows of so much carnage.

A book cover front and back. Gideon, as everyone knows his name but very few, are aware of his exploits. He as one coming out of the fog of the ages. I see him almost indiscernible at first and then bursting forth onto the scene half in and half out. One of the memorable battles is three hundred starving men engage a force of fifteen thousand on a secure plateau in the wilderness. They do it with flickering lamps, crashing pitchers, blasting shofar horns, shouts, fog and burning curtains of fire. Perhaps the book jacket wraps around the scene. Of course, everyone is an art critic, so creativity always has a licence. I will need a hardcover, a softcover and electonic format
Gideon, a lowly woodcutter, is called upon by God to be the savior of all Israel. He does not know why or how and shrinks from the formidable mission. The commandment to conquer the Midian Empire as one man is all but impossible. But Gideon’s faith grows in strength as God guides his every step with Spiritual encouragement until he obtains the power of His might to stand as God’s mighty man of valor.
Now Gideon, the unsung hero, who has been hidden in the shadows for three thousand years, leaps to life and onto the pages of revelation.
The fighting warriors, burning towers and devastated cities contained in Gideon’s journey are but silver threads that are skillfully woven into a sweeping tapestry of intrigue. Running through and stitching together the entire saga is the Lord of the covenant, or better known as Gideon’s solid Ephod of Gold.
