Hello, thank you for looking at our project.
We need a cover designed for a book. The cover will be used for Amazon's Kindle Store.
Please see the following link for image guidelines from Amazon:
The book is a Sherlock Holmes mystery set in the Victorian era. It is a crossover story that has Sherlock Holmes working on the mystery from Bram Stoker's Dracula.
Tentative title is: Crossover Cases of Sherlock Holmes - The Devil Count.
The goal is to create a series of crossover stories with other Victorian era mystery novels. If the cover can serve as a template with only minor adjustments needed for future stories/titles that would be helpful. For example, if the main design elements stay the same, but each title has an identifier that teases the story.
Elements that can be used:
The following are elements of the story that can be used in the cover:
-The classic image of Sherlock Holmes.
-Bram Stoker's Dracula - this link has a good illustration for the way he was depicted in Stoker's original book. http://images.betterworldbooks.com/…139216.jpg
-The Demeter - at the beginning of the story a ship called The Demeter runs aground. It can be used on the cover. Here is an image to show you what the ship looks like http://dashinvaine.co.uk/galleries/…ne_jpg.jpg
-The beast/wolf - in the original story, Dracula appears as a wolf like beast, not as a bat.
-Fog/Mist - Dracula is also known to shapeshift into fog or mist.
