The big idea that I explain in the book is that building and selling courses that you teach and deliver online is a hugely important opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs. This book will be targeted towards online entrepreneurs including bloggers, coaches, consultants, freelancers, authors, and change-makers - people who want to create freedom and prosperity in their lives by sharing their gifts and making an impact. SPECIFIC DESIGN NOTES: The cover needs to look professional, but also compelling and attractive; it needs to be clear, legible, and arrest attention as a thumbnail among many other thumbnails, so consider rich colors, and easy to read eye-catching lettering. No pastels, or anything faded. We're looking for a bright color scheme that's bold, pops (draws attention), but at the same time is still professional enough to attract the veteran entrepreneur / professional (we don't want anything "kiddy" looking). The colors should be consistent and compatible with our brand colors (brand guidelines attached – please review them carefully). We want a color to the cover, and in general want it to feel richer than the previous version did. We asked our audience for feedback on the design. Based on their comments we’ve narrowed down three possible directions: 1. While we like the tree graphic, we aren't married to it, and are open to other visualizations as well; whether it's variations on the tree, a zoomed in version somehow, or a different graphic altogether? - are there any less cliché ways we can represent growth, learning, freedom, prosperity, hope 2. One of our key concepts is that you can teach/learn from anywhere to reach people anywhere - can we try a concept that looks ‘global’ using a map or technology or landscape to represent reach, imagery that says ‘we’re making the world better’? 3. We would be interested in trying a more ‘classic’ view of education, with people smiling and learning together, perhaps a chalk board or other traditional teaching materials. One thing to be careful of - we are an online business, so any ‘traditional education imagery’ would need to lend itself to the online space.
