This book is an exploration into the other side of an international assignment, that is the side of the partner of an international assignee. It is an immersion into the life issues that arise when someone agrees to accompany their spouse or partner abroad, and leave much of the life they know behind, without being sure what is ahead.
The authors are seasoned trailing partners who went through the ups and downs of life abroad themselves. They began to gather others’ stories and put this book together. When conducting interviews all over Switzerland they found a common thread: Knowing you aren’t alone in your experience helps make a move abroad a more gentle and joyful experience and, you will discover new strengths you didn’t know you had.
"The Trailing Spouse Reimagined" describes how it feels to move abroad, and it exhibits the amazing growth and learning that is available for those trailing spouses who embrace this challenge.

Necesidades de diseño
• The act of moving is central: Perhaps you can work with a car packed, driving into the sunset, or flying into the sunset ... or whatever else you come up with.
• Another central element is the positive sense of empowerment: a person finding themselves by moving abroad.
• The cover should feel international, and positive. It is self-help but it is also narrative non-fiction
Lo que debe evitarse
• Do not push the ‘love’ element from the subtitle too hard—no hearts or rings or embraces.
