I am looking for a non-fiction book cover entitled “Careers For Kids - How To Help Your Kids Choose A Career”. The book is a self-help type of book that informs parents on how to help their kids find a career they are suited for and will hopefully enjoy.
Author: Robert Shewchuk
Deliverables: Paperback cover (cover, spine and back page)
Book size: 6X9
The spine will be between .51 and .56 inches (Not sure of final page count yet, so some play with space will be needed). I would like the spine depicting the title “Careers For Kids” in bold letters stacked vertically with my name (Robert Shewchuk) on the bottom horizontal.
The back cover information has been attached along with an example back cover (Dan Poynter) of how I want the page to be set up.
Please see the book cover examples I have attached for examples of what I want. I generally want the look to be uncluttered and clean. It must have pictures with parents (aged 35-55) and at least one young adult aged 18-25ish.
The book called Plutocrats is my favourite book example. I like that the picture tells the story of what the book is about. I love the concept of the mother taking her kid to school on a jet because it paints a picture. That’s the type of ideas I am looking for. I am really fond of the blue/green tone colour schemes and the use of white for the primary title and black for the sub title.
The books called Going Solo & The Myths of Happiness are good examples of the simplicity I am looking for and the colour scheme.
Make sure the stock images are not hugely expensive! I do not want to have to pay an extra $200-300 for pictures. Thanks.
