Descripción del libro
This book is a guide for managers and leaders and shows them how to get every workplace conversation just right.
It brings together human psychology and communications research into a no-nonsense, practical framework and easy to understand conversational model that can be applied immediately to all conversations.
It is more than how to handle difficult conversations at work. It will help people get better results and maintain more positive relationships through the types of conversations they have but its more fundamental than that. It’s about recognising that we build safe and trusting relationships through how we speak to one another. It’s about how we relate human-to-human, not task-by-task, project-to-project. It’s about how we become more emotionally intelligent and use our emotions to help rather than hinder our success. It’s about creating workplaces and relationships that get the best from people and help people to be their best selves. It’s about creating workplace cultures that are highly successful, thriving and positive places to be, one savvy conversation at a time.
Público al que se apunta
Primary audience – Managers who lead teams of people.
Secondary audience – anyone who wants to have more effective communications at work.
50/50 split male/female. More established so not too young (30+ with 40-50 as average). People/organisations with a lot of disposable income.
Something that pops out colour-wise and design-wise. My brand colours are off white, blue and orange (a full set of branding guidelines will be available in the project downloads). Cogs feature quite heavily in the concept so might be useful to have that incorporated into the cover? I have a designed logo which I will also send you to give you an idea.
Would prefer to see a more illustrative, but will consider a text-only. NO STOCK IMAGES!!!
Lo que debe evitarse
Avoid cliche images of people shaking hands, people in suits having conversations, etc. No photography (text only or illustrations).
