The 2-Hour Cocktail Party: How to Build Big Relationships with Small Gatherings
Biografía del autor
No author info, please. Only cover design. But I’m a 38 year-old guy who lives in New York City.
Descripción del libro
This is a step-by-step guidebook, or handbook, for how to build big relationships with small gatherings. It is like a field manual for someone with zero experience, who is intimidated to host a gathering. My book shows them how to do it- including what to message your friends, how to ask people to attend, which day to host your party, what supplies to buy, etc. It is NOT a cookbook or even about the drinks (no recipes are included). This is more of a workbook for someone who has never hosted a party before. The reader wants to make new friends, bring people together, network, etc. (Imagine a modern-day “networking” book, but without the BS tactics.)
Público al que se apunta
Ages 27-45, 60% women / 40% men, typically very tech- and internet-savvy, Tim Ferriss readers, possibly engineers or work in technology, healthcare, etc. Medium- to high-earners. Living in a medium- to large-size city or metropolitan area. This is NOT a book for mass appeal. In a sense, the cover should not be sexy... but descriptive and specific, like the title.

Diseño de inspiración
Bold, easy to read. Catchy modern design.
Clean, white background. Bold title that shows the benefits (from subtitle) on cover.
White background, active, bold, but still a little fun
Colorful, bold. Takes the idea OUT of the typical “this is a cocktail party” to show that this book is more for engineers or tech people.
Pops of color, simple, white background
Tech, white background. (Sending messages like this is an important part of the book’s formula)
White background, colorful, straightforward.
Super bold. Seems timeless. Love the font.
Feels like a book. You could imagine this for a handbook or a workbook (which my book is meant to be like).
