The goal of the book is to stand out on the Amazon platform as a small thumbnail as well as a 5.5” x 8.5” book as it will be offered as an eBook, paperback and hardcover print. I plan to use Ingram Spark for the hardcover. The book is about 24,000 words. The stories in the book offer ample opportunity for imagery on the cover. The favorite story is about a wheelbarrow of cash, as well as seven dwarfs and kissing a pig. These can be leveraged along with a rookie CEO caricature that can be attention getting and funny. These stories are true, educational and with humor. The reader should feel that they must have this book to fuel their future CEO career, to eliminate and minimize mistakes rookies frequently make, and utilize their personal PPLC framework to guide them in leading in their new role. Ideally, the cover will “pop” off the shelf or in the thumbnail online. I like bold power colors that grab attention of the potential reader to click the “look inside” button or “listen” for the audible (coming later) then buy the book! The most critical element of the design is to “sell” the book, not just have a cool design. I am open to image design to the points above using the true stories. I had envisioned the 7 dwarfs rolling out the wheelbarrow of cash piled high but knowing the copyrights it would have to be more iconic than the actual dwarfs. But I am open to ideas.
