The author has been called mick, punk, goy, whitey cis and fool. But also son, friend, husband, dad, grandpa, underwriter, fireman, broker, chief, ombudsman and poker player. He stands by all of these except one with pride. Starting life in the Bronx, he has lived among other places in Denville, Granada Hills, Camarillo and now the Motherlode. His desire to tell stories is unquenchable.

Science fiction: A story which is fictional in nature but not the science. No one passes through wormholes or travels through time or does other impossible feats. Rather it is a tale of human survival in circumstances which may occur in the not too-distant future. Why have certain things happened, and other things are happening every day or might soon happen? Isn’t it just a fantastic and wonderful story that science tells us about how, over billions of years, primal matter formed in the “Big Bang” evolved into us!

A representation of the dark-mater aliens: The door in the outer wall slid open and a dark void entered. It remained stationary as a smaller void emerged from it. Then the L’one seemed to turn on like a florescent bulb. It stood there shimmering. Its appearance and voice were different than what had been shown the humans in their dreams. It was about three-foot in height. He appeared to be male but it was hard to be sure. They would later learn all L’ones’ external sex organs were removed before coming here. Its face was elongated with four eyes but more horse-like, than reptilian. Hands had opposing thumbs and three fingers. It was bi-pedal It wore a plain leotard type garment and a harness which held a small box high on its chest. And, most important its voice did not have that terrible squeak. “Hello humans. I see you’ve all arrived safely. The glow that you see around me is because I’ve excited the ordinary matter gas in contact with my skin so you can see my appearance. You may call me ‘Protector’. * * * * * This time it was Mother L’one who entered the human’s quarters exited her capsule and excited the ordinary matter gas in contact with her skin. It was the first time the humans had seen her. She was significantly larger at seven feet than the other L’ones they had seen and was dressed impressively in what appeared to be a diamond encrusted leotard.
