Joe Rap is a twenty-five year old LGBT writer living in Los Angeles, California. His first book, The Map to Metamorphosis is a collection of poetry that is best described as an experience- this groundbreaking work is brought to life with vivid illustrations in striking color.
Joe enjoys all types of things curious, unusual, and extraordinary. He believes that the journey of self-discovery begins on the road less traveled. On any given day, you can likely find him listening to folk music in his house, asking his waitress too many questions, and trying to get you very excited about this new show he’s watching. He had many dreams as a child including, but not limited to: being an astronaut, being the supreme ruler of the free world, and being a writer. The latter just seemed to come most naturally.

Hello Designers, I am looking to get my book professionally designed. I have a rough mock up of what version 1 of the book looks like, but it leaves MUCH to be desired. I'm looking for something that feels transformative, uplifting, simple, and showcases the use of emotional watercolor and expressionism that can be found throughout the collection.
This book is an illustrated watercolor poetry collection filled from start to finish with over 62 watercolor prints, drawings, and illustrations. I need a cover that WOW's the audience, but it also simple, delicate, and feels engaging to the millennial poetry reader. I suggest taking a look at what is currently top selling on amazon right now in poetry to get a feel for direction, and provide something incredible.
