I am an eternal encourager, special education teacher and creative soul. After college (theatre), I spent two decades in the San Francisco area, leaving my home in North Carolina, then brought my two teenagers back to NC in 2003.
Descripción del libro
It's about a woman's (me) upbringing in the "Bible Belt" of the south (North Carolina), and her escape from religion and prejudices to start over in San Francisco. She experienced a whirlwind of a licentious lifestyle, leading to marrying an abusive homicide agent. After years of struggling with shame and self-condemnation, Vicki fled back to her home with her two daughters, now a single mom. Upon one corporate job after another, she finally found her true calling as a special education teacher. Vicki experienced a vibrant relationship with Jesus through the Gospel of Grace, knowing finally that God was not mad at her. In fact, He loved her even when she was partying like a rock star in San Francisco.
Público al que se apunta
Women who are gripped with the lingering hurts of abuse from their spouse, family or even religion. Christian women. People who are aging and seeking meaning in their lives, and searching for spiritual well-being.

Necesidades de diseño
I would like images of down home country life in contrast with the coldness of city (as perhaps represented by Golden Gate Bridge - San Francsico). Looking for a piece that shows contrast of hurt and then healing.
Lo que debe evitarse
Total dark piece.
My daughter created this piece in copper (Golden Gate Bridge), herself hiding in shame, holding a broken mirror and then a flower fading.
