¿Qué te inspira y qué diseño imaginas para tu empresa?
This book project is a novela telling an Ojibway legend with holiday themes. The target age group is intermediate and middle grade readers. We have a basic illustration that ties into the book's internal illustrations. This should be incorporated into the cover design.
The illustration is paper cut and we very much like the idea of highlighting that effect. We want the cover to invoke a sense of wonder, magic, and ancient legend. It needs to draw in young readers and encourage families to pick up this book to read aloud.
There is cover text that needs to be included and incorporated. We're open to creative incorporation:
Anung's Journey (title)
An ancient Ojibway legend as told by Steve Fobister (sub title)
Carl Nordgren (author)
Illustrations by Brita Wolf
The cover is 6" x 9" vertical
The book is launching in time for holiday sales but should have appeal throughout the year. (So a heavily Christmas cover won't be the best approach.)
We are attaching a lower resolution version of the illustration. A final version will be sent once a designer has been chosen for the project. The designer is welcome to alter the illustration's colors, effects, etc to suit the proposed design. (Keep in mind that we especially like the paper cut feel for this cover.)
We have included the "Title Sheet" for the book, which includes the description and all pertinent information for the project.
