The novel is set in winter. The main character is an author who travels into the snowy mountains. The mountains are right behind a small town, called »Mount Silence«. The author wants to be alone and is struggling with writing his new book and hopes to get inspiration from this lonesome and quiet place. But there is a strange neighbor and later he meets a group of young tourists. When the author is discovering the dark secret relating the town and the mountains, it is already to late. Evil is holding all of them in its claws.
