The Life Actionbook: Tools and Actions for Personal Development
Biografía del autor
Steve Shockley has always had trouble focusing on one thing. He graduated from Virginia Tech with an MBA in information technology, a B.S. in computer science, and minor degrees in history, mathematics, and studio art. During his time in college, he also dabbled in various martial arts, languages, and extreme diets. He has worked professionally in the fields of software engineering and intellectual property law. Steve now writes for a living in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. with his wife, dog, three kids, and about 30,000 baseball cards.

Necesidades de diseño
I need a 6"x9" paperback cover. The book is 220 pages, cream paper. I will publish through KDP Paperbacks, which I think uses the same guidelines as Createspace. The book is already published with a cover that I made myself, but I am not a professional graphic designer. I am looking to upgrade my cover with a professionally designed one that is at least nicer than what I already have. I've attached the old cover for you to use as a minimum standard of quality. Feel free to create a wildly different design. You won't hurt my feelings if you think the old design is garbage and you create a very different style one.
I like styles that are simple, happy, neat, and stand out from the other books. I particularly like books with a simple illustration, cartoon style, or vector graphic design. I also like stylized titles (rather than the plain title simply typed out in a font). I want the cover to grab attention and look happy and lively.
Lo que debe evitarse
My old cover looks too stern and dark, so the new one should be a very different style. Avoid looking too serious, negative, dark, or "safe." Avoid cheesy self-help stock imagery (like leaping businessmen or people smiling at meetings).
