I need an impressive cover for my novel, “COLTON,” that screams out action and excitement. The novel is a suspense/action/thriller that begins in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in the year 2000 and ends in London, England with a thrilling conclusion. Colton is Tom Colton, a frustrated attorney who quits the law and joins the CIA to honor his family and the mother he’s recently lost. On an innocuous training exercise Tom sees where his old high school friend and bridge partner, Prince Ali Abid, had recently been promoted to the top Assistant in the London Embassy. Tom makes a phone call to check on his long lost buddy and that starts a maelstrom of epic portions. It seems that Iraq’s President, Saddam Houssin, has a long running program to entrap the young men of the middle east in the oldest snare of mankind - wine, women and song. He’s trapped Ali and is tightening the noose when Tom calls and is suddenly targeted for a horrible death.
This begins the story with Tom kidnapped at the airport in Riyadh, heavily drugged and scheduled to have his head sliced off. By sheer will and determination he escapes and through a series of wild adventures and auto chases he manages to become Ali’s protector and in turn the entire nation of Saudi Arabia if not the free world.
This is my first novel and I have never been through the process before, but I visualize Ali, thin build, trim beard in the whitest ropes in existence with his Foster-Grants holding an arrogant pose next to his Rolls Royce. Tom Colton is in front, in an aggressive stance firing a large caliber pistol. Both men are in their early thirties and Colton holds a resemblance to Tom Cruise. In the background I picture a stretch Mercedes Limousine crashing through a police barricade throwing two small European police cars high in the air.
The cover of “Nameless,” caught my attention when I first opened your website, but I am open to any suggestions.
