The size is 5.5" x 8.5". I want my buyer to pick up the book and immediately feel emotionally connected with the cover. I want her to feel hopeful, confident and curious from the moment she reads the title and sees the book or pick it up from the shelf. In other words, I want the design to compliment and empower the title so that my buyer feel an urge to buy it.
As you work on your design, please keep in mind that this book is for moms of pre-teens and teens. Hence, the images and design must project it. I would like to see a confident mom with her tween or teen in the front cover. I like simplicity with a modern touch. Colors are important and should reflect calmness yet control. You can also play around with pinks. The font should be strong yet not bulky and it shouldn't look too busy overall. Finally, let's start with free images.
