Chaena Hollist, LMSW is a licensed master social worker, minister, personal growth strategist, coach, and speaker committed to decreasing the number of “walking wounded” in the world. As a transformational teacher and mentor, Chaena helps people heal intentionally after brokenness and betrayal so they can manifest the life and relationships they desire and deserve. Her clients appreciate her personable and practical approach to helping them extract wisdom from their wounds and pursue their purpose. As a survivor of sexual abuse as a child and acquaintance rape as an adult, Chaena knows firsthand how it feels to walk around wounded in the fog of betrayal. Today, a transformed woman, she has a passion to help other people reclaim their sense of significance and worth as well as reach their highest potential.

The goal of the book is to help people who've experienced betrayal or brokenness to heal, overcome, grow in the process, and go on to create the life and relationships they desire. It is part memoir and part self-help.

I'd like a more simple and minimalistic design where perhaps there is a single object focus or higlighted image. I would like it to be warm, have SOME texture, and feminine (but not too feminine). I'd like it to project hope and optimism. Open as far as colors but nothing too bright or counter to the topic of the book; I know my title is very abstract so I've had trouble coming up with ideas for what image to use on the cover. Feel free to be creative on this. To help I'll share that the common illustrations/analogies that I use throughout my book are a "journey", also I use a medical theme to organize the parts of my book because the topic is "healing", it could also be something that evokes "value" or "worth" like diamonds or expensive oils, etc; I would like my publishers full logo on the back cover and acronym logo on the spine (i've attached them). I will be taking my headshot photos today and will be able to add that photo to the brief as the contest is going. (feel free) to put a placeholder of where my photo would go in the meantime. Feel free to use your creativity and surprise me. You may be seeing something that I'm not.
