Necesidades de diseño
The goal of this book is to stand out on the Amazon platform as a small thumbnail, as well as a 5.5x8.5 book with a 72" spine. The imagery should make the reader feel that the book (and the author) is the authority on the topic of ending misery and finding happiness in life. The reader should feel that they must have this book as it will give them powerful answers as to what is wrong in their lives and how to make it better. It is important that this book pops off the shelf, is eye-catching and gets noticed. It is important that this design speaks to women and sells. I am open to any ideas from the designer, but things that come to mind right now are an arrow pointing to a crossroads, a woman looking out at a path with many roads to take, a woman outstretched, having her arms morph into branches and her feet sprawl out into roots - something to convey being splintered and pulled in many directions at once. I am open to anything involving water or trees. I am also open to something more minimalist. Bold wording in the foreground, subtle, faded imagery in the background...these are all possibilities. This cover must speak to the pain of being overwhelmed, exhausted and confused. It must convey solace, hope and connection. I have outlined a few color schemes that appeal to me, but am open to the designer's ideas as well. I like the idea of bold, clear wording that stand out and grab the eye. It is more important that the cover be eye-catching and command attention rather than be artsy or pretty.
Lo que debe evitarse
I would like the designer to avoid using cartoon-style imagery.
