Descripción del libro
It was supposed to be the perfect romantic honeymoon for Obstetrician Hannah Kline and her brand new husband, LAPD Detective Daniel Ross; a week of complete relaxation on isolated Oriole Island at a charming Victorian B&B, famous for its celebrity chef. No sooner do they arrive than they encounter a clever killer and a woman from Daniel's past who threatens their new marriage.
Público al que se apunta
Most of my readers seem to be women and people interested in medically themed mysteries.

Up to now I have designed my own covers using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Please look on my website HannahKlineMysteries.com. to get an idea of the images and font I have used in the past.
I am reaching out to professional designers for this book because I've been unable to find the right image and think the cover may need to be drawn. This novel is #6 in my series. My main characters, Hannah Kline an obstetrician and Daniel Ross an LAPD detective are on their honeymoon. They are staying at a charming Queen Anne Victorian B&B on one of the San Juan Islands off the coast of Washington. I'd like the cover to show the house, which is described in the book as white with a large porch and Adirondack chairs. There are Alder trees on the property (their trunks are like Birch trees) and it is October so the leaves should be yellow. There should be a glimpse in the distance of a rocky beach, calm water and possibly distant mountains across the bay. It might be sunset or sunrise. The proportions should fit in a 5x8" cover and the image shouldn't be so busy that there isn't an obvious place to put the title and author. I always use the same font for my books and I don't need the designer to add the text as I can easily do that layer myself with Illustrator. I want the cover image to fit the reader's imagination of the setting as I describe it in the book.
Lo que debe evitarse
Not too dark or too busy. I want an image to look good as a thumbnail on Amazon.
I want a drawing, not a stock photograph because I've been through hundreds of them and haven't found one that works.
I am attaching a few files that might be helpful. One is of the best I was able to do for a Honeymoon cover. I'm hoping one of you can do better. The image is a shot of the island that inspired the setting of the story. I'm also including a detailed description of the house and island from chapter 1 and a photo from the web that illustrates how I imagine the house looks.
