I need a SEXY book cover, title: Lust.
It will initially be an ebook, but ultimately a full-cover paperback as well. The cover will be used on Amazon (and its competitors), as well as Audible and Createspace, so it must respect their requirements.
This is a steamy romance, bordering on erotic. There is a lot of sex in this book. A. Lot.
It takes place in the California State Senate, and the main characters are accomplished, driven individuals. The attraction and sex are about fun.
It is NOT a "sweep girl off her feet, become giggly-soppy in luuuuv, let's commit now and have lots of babies, throw it all away to live happily ever after" sort of book.
So, please, please, please, no shirtless men - actually no men at all - bodices, flowers, fields, etc...
This book is the first in a series of three, whose covers will need to be similar, but certainly not identical. I would like to work with the same designer for the next two covers.
The cover should be black with a wisp of blue - either smoke moving from bottom to top, or blue ink dropped in water.
Alternatively, the blue could be horizontal, recalling ocean waves/smoke. Horizontally, it should be lower on the left, higher on the right. Always evoking the ocean, but not obviously so.
The blue (vertical or horizontal) should curve into half of a woman's silhouette. (hourglass figure) Vaguely, not one line. (I need it to imply, rather than outright show the woman's figure)
If it's horizontal, it needs to recall a woman lying on her side, a blue sheet draped over her. If the blue then moves down the bottom half of the cover like a screen over the black, that would be awesome. But it still has to evoke the ocean.
The blue should not be light/ sky blue. Something with weight/depth.
For the smoke option, please see the included picture, but note that there is too much smoke.
The title is LUST, all caps, in white. Should be centered in the very middle of the cover. Please use a font like "Lato", Ultra-Bold 900. (I like it, but I'm not married to it. I'm open to suggestions.)
Author name - Gia de Cadenet - at the bottom, in white, centered, all caps. (If "Lato", Thin 100 or Light 300)
On the back cover, it would be nice to have a full moon with a star on its upper right. (not sure how to explain this, but more a negative or "sketched" moon, rather than a realistic image)
Please include a "brush-stroked" bird. It should be a kite.
As back cover inspiration, I really like the cover for Chuck Wendig's "Mockingbird", though that bird is way too large. And the claws are scary. (http://terribleminds.com/ramble/201…ok-covers/)
Front and Back, everything except the title should be dream-like or ethereal. But please not girly/romantic/cheesypie.
There's lots of info in my description, but I am open to suggestions. You're the creative designer, I just work with words. (hence the length of my description?)
