I am looking for a book cover that captures the essence of the book. This book is a thrilling spy adventure for children. The cover should reflect the excitement, non-stop action but also depth of character that the reader will find within the book. The children are on an adventure but it is a serious mission. That is, they have to find Mr Fox as his life is in danger.
I'm keen for you to use your creativity so please don't feel you need to use the scenes below, but I'll mention them just in case it helps.
There are a couple of significant moments in the book.
One involves the three main characters - they are all 12 years old (Paul, Rachel, and Sharav - 2 boys and a girl). They have been abducted and in order to save their own lives, they have to jump out of a small private jet over Dublin at night. Sharav is tumbling helplessly as he has been drugged and is unable to open his parachute. Paul desperately tries to get close enough to Sharav in mid-air in order to help him open his parachute.
Another scene happens during the day. It involves a modern three-story detached house with a glass balcony on the coast of North Berwick. A helicopter has landed on a piece of land between the house and the sea. The house explodes and Paul, Sharav, their friend Terry and a number of SAS soldiers are thrown to the ground and then look back towards the house as debris rains down on the helicopter destroying it.
The colours I think look great on book covers are blues and purples but happy to consider other colours.
I have attached a number of book covers that I think look good. I really like Alex Rider's recent designs, particularly 'nightshade'. I feel that the visual and the bold colours help to capture the essence of the adventure.
