I want the design to reflect that this is a book about one of the world's most prestigious scholarship programs, but in a clean, energetic Silicon Valley kind of way and not in a stuffy 300-year-old Harvard library kind of way. It is a book for future leaders and visionaries, and people who want a window onto what makes people like this tick.
Some things I want the cover to suggest:
- academic excellence
- taking the initiative
- pursuing one's dreams
I want the design to feel simple, professional, and unostentatious. I do not want it to feel heavy, busy, cluttered, or gimmicky. I want a cover that would attract someone who is buying a copy of The New Yorker at an airport bookstore before boarding a flight to London.
The color blue should be part of the design as it is associated with the Fulbright Program (you can look online for examples of the program's blue color palette).
