I want a cover for my book, a contemporary romance that has science fiction and paranormal elements.
The text on the cover should be the title (Crossing Realms) and my name (Shannon Ahn).
The main character is a 26-year-old Caucasian woman with long brown hair and green eyes. Think actress Lyndsy Fonseca (see photos). She has a natural look, not too much makeup. She's pretty but not overtly sexy. I want a girl next door, not a model or porn star.
Here's the description of the book:
Have you ever wondered if your dreams could be more than just dreams?
Twenty-six-year-old Nina leads a simple, ordinary life in her small hometown. She's steeped in comfort and routine, content with her office job and her drama-free relationships with family and friends.
But all of that is about to change. Following a strange incident, Nina begins to have intensely vivid dreams about being a covert government agent and falling in love with her handsome partner, Aeden. At first she thinks of them as mere fantasies, but when Aeden appears in her real life, she's thrown into a whirlwind of mysteries. Who is Aeden? How and why did she dream about someone she was about to meet? What do her dreams mean?
Answers to these questions will transform Nina's life in ways she could never have imagined.
I want a cover that's sleek, modern, and minimalist. The focal point should be my main character. No clutter. No drawings or paintings. Subtle colors with black/white/gray. Soft font but not too curly and cursive like old romance books.
My main character lives an average life and goes through a mysterious experience of falling in love with a man in her dreams and then meeting him in real life. I want the cover to have a somewhat mysterious feel. My book is not a romantic comedy. It includes serious topics like death and suicide. The woman on the cover should not be smiling too much, but I don't want her to look too tough or sad.
If you want to show a location, use Washington, D.C.
I uploaded my Wattpad book cover. Look at the font I used. I want a font close to that one for both title and my name. Look at how I put the title too. Words are not right on top of each other.
