I'd like the cover to be in portrait mode.
I find most travel guide covers to be too crowded and not very legible due to a dominant, non-transparent image in the background. I’d like to keep my cover simple. It should contain one big, iconic image of Switzerland and the text needs to be legible. I’m uploading a few photos for you to use but if you’d like to suggest some stock images, feel free to do so.
I’d also like the cover to contain an element that says «itinerary». Like maybe a dotted line with some city or destination names leading across the page.
Layout and cover designs I DO like:

I love the style of the covers you'll find on the links above. If you could put something similar together, that would be awesome!
The colours I mainly use on my blog are #21658a, #bdd347 (sparingly) and #343434 (for text). The fonts I use are Oswald for titles and Open Sans for the body. But feel free to make other suggestions.
