Gilbert Lee Alston (Gil) is a farmer, ex Pacific Bell employee and author, who was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on a small dairy farm, where he helped deliver milk before school each morning.
After graduating from high school, Gil joined the US Navy and served on various ships and bases in the US and Japan, before taking a position with Pacific Bell.
He returned to farming in 1987 and his success led him to decide to write a book on Timeless Personnel Management Techniques, designed to help supervisors or managers to improve their skills in any field they work in and become increasingly successful as a result.

This book is about managing people and was written 40 years ago but we want to portray that the details inside are still useful today. At the time it was written the ideas were progressive but they worked, even back then.
We are open to ideas on style.
