The protagonist of THE PARIS PLOT is a beautiful Secret Service agent in charge of the Presidential Detail. Most of the action takes place in the city of Paris though other world capitals are involved. The cover should focus on the city of Paris, the female protagonist "Izzy Stone," the President of the United States (POTUS,) and iconic Paris imagery. There is a night-time shootout in Paris and Izzy must navigate the streets and underground tunnels with the President in order to save him from certain death. Not all these elements need to be present but should be considered. I admire the composition of other thriller covers such as those of best-selling Daniel Silva ("Black Widow," "Portrait of a Spy"), Olen Steinhauer ("The Cairo Affair"), John Sweeney ("Cold"), Vince Flynn ("The Survivor"), Vince Flynn ("Kill Shot"). Although colors add a lot of texture to a cover please also consider a noirish, even black and white background with an image perhaps of the Paris Metro, the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the Champs Elysees or some other image that will let the reader immediately identify the location as Paris. Consider incorporating Izzy the fearless agent, in profile or even identifiable features, perhaps with a pistol in hand. Also consider using the presidential seal of the President or the Secret Service seal in some way. This is a first novel so the perusing customer must be drawn to the book by its powerful cover as opposed to the name of the author. This is a story with a lot of action scenes, shootouts, hair curling car chases, lots of casualties and secret underground passages. One of those chases takes place on horseback through the fabled galleries of the great Louvre museum.
This story is approximately 73,000 words (appx. 380 pages). The dimensions of the soft cover will be: 5" x 8" I have a website for the novel: http://www.theparisplot.com
