On back cover, In addition to the Blurb, a quote centered on top:
"My name is Raiden Williams. I'm twenty-two years old, from Chicago, Illinois. I make a mean peanut butter and jelly sandwhich. Oh yah, I also blew up an orphanage, killed two Shadows with atom bombs, executed a Burner with a sword, am a wanted terrorist in all fifty states, slew a life-sucking beast and saved a princess from a tower, flew a dinosaur, and entered the Nexus Mirror and lived."
Design: My book is a sci-fi fantasy adventure, with genetically engineered creatures and super-powered people, so it's important that while it has a fantasy feel, the cover also convey the sci-fi aspect. Meaning, not a high fantasy cover.
The cover I picture is with my main character, a red-headed man in his early twenties, wearing jeans and a shirt, riding on a flying beast which looks something like a grass dragon, with leaves instead of scales (inspiration found in files below) in action, dodging a blast or ball of fire. Here is a description of the creature from my book:
"massive, extraordinary creatures that looked like pterodactyls. They were covered with thousands of bright green feathers, which made them seem like moving pieces of carved shrubbery. Their vast, feathered wings were long and pointed at the tip. The only non-feathered parts of their bodies were their stomachs and the bottoms of their wings, which were shiny and scaled, like the skin of a lizard."
It’s something between a pterodactyl and a grass dragon.
Optionally, there could be a second winged beast in the distance with a large, muscular, bald man riding it, two swords fastened to his back.
The background is forest and grassland set aflame.
Also optionally, you could show the source of the fire blast, a super-powered man with fiery red hair and eyes and fire pouring from his hands and possibly entire body.
Also optionally, If you want, you can design metallic battle wasps chasing or battling the main character and his creature. The wasps can fire lasers and bullets at the characters. Example pictures are posted below.
Also, if it can be fit to look good, I want a recurrent theme throughout the series covers to be a sapphire amulet with a golden chain hanging across the back of the cover (see file below).
