Descripción del libro
Boisterous 11-year-old Ruby Carol Rafferty's happy life in Seattle is turned upside-down after the Japanese attack Pearl Harbor in December 1941. Suddenly America is at war, Ruby's longed-for Christmas trip is cancelled, her father wants to join the Army, and her Japanese American best friend is getting shipped away to an internment camp (prison!) just because of her heritage. A new friend's family fled from the Nazis in Europe. Ruby can't stop what's happening, but can she and her friends keep a song in their hearts until the world comes back to its senses?

The collage aspect of it.
I like the artwork. Beautiful.
The artwork's great.
I like the concept though it's too modern for my 1940s story.
I love the illustration, the way it's drawn, how it introduces the three characters. It's from the 1940s.
I like the way this cover looks and it's also from the 1940s.
Love the collage!

The radio is a big part of the story I've written and this image is from the 1940s.

It needs a Retro 1940s style. It's set in American during World War II, so some red, white and blue on there would be good.

Please see all the info above. I want an attractive cover. I suggest the three friends be on the cover, with a focus on the blonde-haired girl, but a collage of images about the 1940s and the war around them might be great, too - let the artists have some fun with it!
Lo que debe evitarse
I don't want the images to look like cartoons. I like the style of a painting better. I also don't want it to look contemporary since it's a story set in the 1940's, America during World War II, etc. Seattle background images would be great but do NOT include the Space Needle since it wasn't built back then.

Sheet music, The Glow Worm - part of the storyline.
Sheet music, A Good Man is Hard to Find - part of the storyline.
Blackout declared, Seattle, December 1941. Part of the storyline.
