SEVENTEEN-YEAR OLD NIA AKINTEWE, she's a dark skinned black girl (has hairstyle like baby Susie Carmichael from Rugrats) that's short, has buck teeth, wears thick black glasses and wears a yellow hoodie and lives in Notsuoh, Texas, an isolated unknown city on the outskirts of Houston where residents have two choices: FOCUS or FAIL. Notsuoh is where residents can make the best of their situation and potentially succeed, or get involved in unnecessary shenanigans and suffer. Nia remembers the demise of her brother when he veered off his path of focus one time, and attempts to avoid the same path illustrated to her. While dealing with her fears and insecurities, most notably her fear of public speaking, she meets a mentor close to home that teaches her the importance of shifting from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset. As a college freshman, she gains an immense amount of financial literacy knowledge to help her pay off the student loan debt she accrues rapidly. She is equipped with the tools necessary to initiate this mindset shift, but it’s up to her to apply what she learns. Will she focus or fail?
Michael Benjamin’s fictional, personal development book about a young teen figuring out where her puzzle piece should be placed in life addresses the importance and effect of adopting a growth mindset as it pertains to succeeding at any venture or aspiration, while teaching financial literacy that should be taught in the educational space early on.

Young adults are the primary audience, High school and college students, age range: 14-19, low income minorities

UPDATED: I PREFER A SIMPLER DESIGN VERSUS IN DEPTH ILLUSTRATION NOW SO SOMETHING SIMPLE PREFERRED!!!

Option 1:
i primarily want a simple book cover PROBABLY red or white and simple, where "The Power of" is smaller than the "Yet" which is large and in the middle of the screen, but the character can be like an avatar shape facing the audience and is sitting on top of the loop of the "Y" like it's a swing and her backpack can be next to the "E" so incorporating the character with the word "Yet". I recommend submitting both options since you have unlimited attempts.

Another variation of this I was thinking of as a separate submission is you could make the "Yet" look electrified or with fire like its burning with passion with the current shiny look like it has.

Nia is a dark skinned black girl that wears a yellow hoodie and reads a lot of books and eats apples as a symbol of the seed of knowledge. She wears a pink backpack that has the golden letters "GOD" on it.

Dimensions: 7.9 x 5.1 x 0.8 inches (I want it as big as the dimensions for the paperback version of The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho so these are the dimensions I got)
