Descripción del libro
World War II novel “The Black March” follows Eighth Air Force B-17 flight engineer/top turret gunner Andrew Miller, whose plane is shot down in a savage air battle over Berlin. He bails out and is captured, but his struggle for survival is only beginning. In January 1945, the Germans evacuate their prisoner-of-war camps in Poland to stay one step ahead of the advancing Russian army. Forced to march for 86 days during one of the harshest winters in European history, Miller and other Allied POWs struggle to survive disease, hunger, the elements, and the brutality of their captors. “The Black March” chronicles their saga of extraordinary courage, perseverance, and brotherhood.
Público al que se apunta
People who enjoy historically accurate war novels, as well as the children and grandchildren of the men who served in the Eighth Air Force during World War II and wonder what the air war was like for Dad or Granddad.

5x8 book cover. For the title, I would like a bold sans-serif font like Arial or Helvetica Black. The main themes of the novel are courage, perseverance and brotherhood of men in combat. Possible images include B-17s in combat. Gaunt POWs. Barbed wire. Gray-uniformed German soldiers. Snow, cold, hunger—in a way that will make people want to pick up the book, of course. Dark and dangerous.
Lo que debe evitarse
Even though the book is about the war against the Nazis, I'd rather not have any swastikas on the cover.
