Biografía del autor
Hayley Ryan has over 15 years’ experience in nursing and has worked exclusively in wound care over this time. Hayley is currently working as a Wound Clinical Nurse Consultant across NSW and ACT. Hayley provides consultation and education related to wound care with a focus on evidence based practice. Hayley has a wide range of postgraduate experience in wound management, while also completing a Masters of Business Admin (MBA). Hayley is a long term member of Wounds Australia and holds the position of NSW Committee member. Hayley has a keen interest in chronic wound management, palliative wounds and pressure injury prevention. Hayley has presented at national conferences including a submission for the 2018 Wounds Australia conference to be held in Adelaide. Hayley has also been nominated for the 2018 Better Practice Awards for her contribution to wound management. As a presenter, Hayley has a proven track record in wound care education. She travels extensively throughout NSW and ACT educating on the principles of wound management and infection control to help clinicians maximize safe wound care outcomes. In addition to Hayley’s full time role as a Clinical Nurse Consultant for a not for profit organization, Hayley also is the director of her own company and provides wound care education as an independent wound care advisor. A note from the author: I have updated The Wound Management Resource as a practical guide for all clinicians involved in wound management decisions. It is also important to recognize the efforts of Brenda Ramstadius for her contribution to the previous edition of this manual. With all that we do for wound management it is important to remember we are ‘healing lives, not just wounds’. Hayley Ryan Graduate Certificate in Wound Management (RN / Director / Wounds Australia Committee Member)
