Simple and calm, not too many elements going on at once. Warm and inviting. A modern vibe. Serious in that it is professional and trustworthy. Not overly feminine or masculine; something that appeals to both.

If a stock photo is used, I'd like to avoid the very cliche "white heterosexual couple" image, and instead use an image that is more abstract like a silhouette, or a long shot of a couple, for example. Please avoid photos of people in wedding day attire (the dress, and tux). Please avoid images of people that look like clip art. I have a stock image that I am including, but I am open to other designs that may have an entirely different image.

This is a difficult subject to write about so the cover was very important to me, it needed to resonate to the reader who has probably also lost a child to suicide. I had a specific vision in mind for this cover and EPH Design perfected it. He was diligent, prompt and listened to all my suggestions and revisions. He was also very polite in his messages to me.
