Colours: light indigo blue (like Japanese ai dye), white, gold, navy. Something light and bright that stands out on the shelves among other darker books. Dimensions: 6 x 9 inches. portrait. Font style for author name: all caps, simple serif Font style for book title and series title: not sure. up to designer discretion. Style of imagery: Japanese culture. Themes: Japanese. Rich colours but also simple in design. classy. imaginative. Imagery: Asian dragon, Japanese castle, Japanese girl in hakama pants, 1600s era ship, sea, Japanese mountain, Japanese shrine, moon. sky. Thought a background of light blue dragon scales might be cool, but not too sure how that would work! I liked the idea of a simple print-style image in the background, but again, not sure how that would work with titles. Maybe a landscape of a girl looking out to sea with a small ship in the distance and an asian dragon in the sky. Maybe flames somewhere. Looking forward to seeing what designers picture! Mood: daydreaming. serious. culture. calm. reflective. fantasy adventure. Aesthetic.
