Descripción del libro
"Beyond the Clinic" is a healthcare administration book that helps practice owners embrace the digital future. The process of transforming particularly an already successful practice with video consultations is daunting. Practice owners are caught in a conflict between the fear of missing out and the fear of failure. They don’t know where to start, what pitfalls to avoid, and how to make it work financially. There are very practical concerns about how to deal with appointment bookings for online consultations, how to manage health records, how to deal with patient privacy, how to deal with payments, how to avoid delays & frustrations caused by technology and network issues, as well as how to get everyone on board and train them appropriately. This book provides a 5 step approach to embracing the digital future successfully and sustainably.
Público al que se apunta
The target audience is healthcare business owners in Australia with an already successful running practice. Typically, such owners are between 40-50 years old and still keen to adapt their practice with digital tools. They may be clinicians themselves or just practice managers. In Allied Health, that's typically female sole traders. GP and specialist clinics are more often owned by males. All of these clinics are located in major cities in Australia.

Diseño de inspiración
Like how it goes front and back and shows the topic in a modern way
real-world image of a healthcare interaction
Some small inspiration from the power-up button, but in general this is a boring stock image
it's a nice and simple example of a modern designed book cover, though
it's a modern design for a book cover
cool ideas about putting clinical tools on the cover and the schedule
I like the modern design and idea of the picture of reaching out

Necesidades de diseño
My book is: about modern technology in healthcare, so something technology-related could be included; I was first thinking about a hand with a finger pressing a power-up button but it needs to have a relationship to healthcare
The size of my book is: 6"x 9" (229 x 152mm)
We need the following file types: Ingram Spark and Createspace (Createspace without barcode)
One idea we discussed was to use something like a global connectivity map like the one attached but with an Australian clinic that is reaching out to the world. It needs to not be a dark image though.
Lo que debe evitarse
no stock imagery of video calls or video doctors - they look dorky though they would be relevant. I want something more stylised but at the same time inspirational for clinicians. I've attached a couple of images or book covers that I like. Hopefully they are helpful for inspiration.
idea about something with a world map and a clinic in Australia that reaches out
