Descripción del libro
In a relationship... is a book written to empower and embolden young women, or women of any age, to expect respect in all aspects of their social lives and relationships, and to discern between what is healthy and what is not, what is normal conflict and what is wrong, and to recognize warning signs of unhealthy or abusive relationships in their own relationship, or in that of their friend, daughter, sister, or co-worker. It also equips people to support a friend who has experienced abuse or assault, and has a theme of empowerment throughout the book. It is designed to be a handbook with short chapters that can be referred to again and again.
Público al que se apunta
Young women, especially from teenagers through college, but also for single women or women of any age looking for a relationship or wanting to know what is and is not a healthy relationship. It is a book that can also be a natural gift that moms or women would give to a daughter or other woman.

Diseño de inspiración
I like that it's clean and modern. I would like a bit more an artistic look though to appeal to a broader audience of different ages.
The title and main point grabs you. The image is simple and relevant.
This is too dark and a bit negative, even though it's creative.

This should communicate empowerment. It's about emboldening women and girls who are already smart and knowledgeable, but giving them that extra edge. This is a handbook for any mom to give her daughter, any sorority to buy for their members, or any single woman to have as she navigates this often difficult level of life.
Lo que debe evitarse
Avoid making it look like it's for teenagers. I don't want a book to look like it's designed for teens or tweens. This is for any age, but a modern, cool look should communicate that.
Avoid stock photos of women and girls.
Avoid making it too pink, even if pink is used, which might be good. Even though it's about avoiding serious things like abusive relationships, this should not be a scary, heavy, negative looking book. It should be about empowerment, emboldening, positive, knowledgeable.
Avoid being too literal with "empowerment" - it's more of a balanced feel of emboldening to expect respect, but not a literal women's rights feel.
Avoid looking political at all. It should not look partisan, political, angry, or negative. It should look positive, and universal.
I put in a budget if there's an amazing, cool stock photo, but it might work best as no image, or no stock photo image. I'm open to see good ideas though.
