I am looking for design options for the cover of my historical fiction book that I plan to publish late in the Fall of 2016. The story takes place during World War II in December 1943. It is a 'what if' story of a strike on New York City by the German Air Force (Luftwaffe). My vision for the cover of the book includes a view of the New York City skyline from the west on the western side of the Hudson River. The Hudson River is included in my 'cover vision' along with the George Washington Bridge, Empire State Building, Grand Central Terminal and the Chrysler Building. The cityscape/skyline should be 'art deco' a bit. The skies above the skyline are a bit cloudy (winter weather clouds). Certain German aircraft will be in the scene as well. In the front left foreground mid cover is an Arado 555 flying wing bomber. The 555 is flying over the Hudson River towards the George Washington Bridge. On the bomber's underside are open bomb bay doors. Above the skyline are two to four Me-264 Amerika bombers. There are several V-1 Buzz bombs in the top right corner above the skyline. On the right there are several buildings that are smoking. There is also an explosion amongst the buildings on the right side of the cover. In the upper left is an Horten XVIII flying wing over the skyline as well. It is early morning on a cold December day in the scene. There are vehicles on the GW Bridge and boats and ships are in the Hudson. The title of the book is 'Impossible Target'. Also there are at least two American P-38 Lightening fighters in the scene as well - far off over the skyline.
I have attached several pictures for reference:
