Kristy Placido has been a high school Spanish teacher since 1997. She holds a masters degree in Curriculum and Teaching from Michigan State University and an additional endorsement in School Library Media from Grand Valley State University. In addition to Hasta la sepultura, Kristy has authored Robo en la noche, Noche de Oro, Noches misteriosas en Granada and Frida Kahlo. She also co-authored Brandon Brown ver- sus Yucatán as well as several Teacher’s Guides and Spanish curricula. She is passionate about creating compelling, culture-rich and comprehensible reading materials for students!

Biographies are of: Roberto Clemente (baseball player), Celia Cruz (salsa singer), Julio Iglesias (pop singer), Maria Reiche (scientist/archaeologist), Luis Urzúa (foreman of the Chilean miners who were trapped in 2010), and Azucena Villaflor (a founding member of the Madres de la Plaza de Mayo in Argentina who was killed by the fascist regime during the Dirty War).

I'd like each of the 6 people in the book somehow incorporated into the cover. I LOVE bright colors and eye catching design. However, I am also not opposed to a really awesome monochromatic cover if it grabs attention! We sell books at trade shows and an eye-catching cover rules!
