Hardcover book, 6.125” x 9.25”
Title: Learning for Life
Subtitle: How Continuous Education Will Keep Us Competitive in the Global Knowledge Economy
Authors: Jason Wingard and Michelle LaPointe
Audience:Educators, policy-makers, scholars, organizational development professionals. The book is not about “continuing education” in the sense of night-school at community colleges, but about the concept that U.S. society needs to move the emphasis away from a traditional four-year college education, and on to the idea of frequent learning and training throughout one’s entire work career.
Over all “look and feel": Elegant, clean, contemporary, and important-feeling. Very simple and spare with a LARGE title. Title must be readable at a small screen size.
Possible imagery: We are open to a small image that implies education or learning or continuous. A “global” image is possible, but it’s really the on-going learning that’s the focus of the book
Published books with similar feel: I’ve attached a compilation called ImportantSocialAcademic that I think gives you a pretty good idea of the feel of the book.
