Descripción del libro
This book introduces The Solo 401k as a plan that individuals can use to save and invest toward retirement. So, instead of some big company 401k, the Solo 401k allows small business owners with no employees to have their own retirement account. This book discusses why someone might want a Solo 401k, who qualifies for such a plan, how to set up and manage the plan, and other tips and strategies for investing with the plan. Our goal is to help readers toward their own goals of financial freedom and security and peace in their older age.
Público al que se apunta
This is an educational book for self-employed individuals and/or small business owners (think: creative, risk-takers, not-your-normal-working-class-citizens). Many of the readers will be investors looking to learn how to use their pension plans to invest in real estate, notes & mortgages, etc. This isn't a boring stocks & bonds type of thing. Because the authors are real estate investors themselves, many of the readers will also be in the real estate industry. However, we would like to make the book more generic to appeal to other industries as well. Typical age of reader is 30 to 70. These won't be corporate people, and even though we are talking about strategies to save for retirement, many of the readers won't be close to retirement age.

Diseño de inspiración
Like the simplicity but looks too mainstream, like something you would already see all over a bookstore.
Like the cartoon aspect while not being childish. Catches my eye.
Easy to read, bright color catches eye. Also, weird. Made me stop and take a look...why are there a woman's legs? Where is she climbing to? Oh I see. She has ambition! I want to read more...
Like how the images are created out of the text while still keeping the text legible.
Like the simplicity. The sunshine makes me happy and made me interested enough to stop and read the title.
I don't like the font styles, but I do like how the pencil and sticky note seem to come off the page.
I see this cover and I think....BAM! WHAT'S THIS?! I like how it jumps out but isn't too overpowering or busy.
This is our current book cover. I did this in Microsoft Paint. I am not a designer (obviously). My thoughts were that it was like a stock ticker going up, like you're following how your money is growing over time. Very boring. But I needed something until I got a pro involved. Need a pro now!

Otros requisitos relativos al color
The brighter, the better (I think). But I'm not opposed to exploring other color possibilities...

Lo que debe evitarse
Avoid using an "Egg" in the design or anything that might be too cliche. I also want to avoid it looking too boring or too technical.
This is the current book cover we are using (can you say: Boring? Unprofessional? Did you use Microsoft Paint? Yes, I did. )
This is the logo for our publishing company. I would like this somewhere on the book cover where appropriate.
