Say the words "Windsor chairs" and most woodworkers think of Mike Dunbar—with good reason. In the early 1970s Mike set of the Windsor Revival, the rediscovery of the long dead craft of Windsor chairmaking. For more than 40 years he has worked tirelessly to advance that craft and to promote handmade Windsor chairs. Since 1994 he has taught at his school, The Windsor Institute. Mike is the author of seven woodworking books. He also wrote the eight-volume Castleton Series, an adventure series for young teens and adults that are young at heart. He has written more magazine articles than he can count. Mike lives in Hampton, New Hampshire with his family.
