Peer-to-peer lending companies run online and have automated processes in place (like risk assessment of borrowers) which is why they can operate their business faster, cheaper and hence more efficient (lower overhead costs) than traditional financial institutions like banks. As a result, lenders can earn higher returns compared to savings and investment products offered by banks, while borrowers can borrow money at lower interest rates, even after the P2P lending company has taken a fee for providing the match-making platform and underwriting process of the borrower. In parts that is true in the first part since I also want to pick up investors that have never heard about p2p-lending before. But the content goes very much into detail and even experienced investors will learn a lot from my deep-dive research and analysis. The tag line on my blog (rethink-p2p.de) means “Authentic Reviews and profound background knowledge” and so is my content in this book. Very detailed and trying to look behind the curtains in p2p-lending.

Target Audience: The audience for this book are tendentially younger people between 20 and 35 years of age that want to learn about (alternative) investments and how they can achieve a passive income stream and gain financial independency.
