Descripción del libro
Tilting, begins with an infection that attacked my Dad’s heart and in a matter of days we were told he was brain dead. The week earlier he had flown one of Delta’s final flights into the downtown Hong Kong airport. Miraculously he woke up and realized he wanted to change his life, live more authentically, live with his long-time secret girlfriend. Divorce ensued. But that wasn’t the end of the drama for us. Linda—my mom—was diagnosed with cancer in the middle of the divorce and on New Year’s Eve in 2000, her back broke. While Linda was sick my younger sister became pregnant.
Tilting is a 70,000 word memoir that considers why Linda stayed with Dad. She was at the center of our family and she forms the center of the book. She had been an independent working woman with an excellent sense of humor who found herself stuck in rural Montana with four children, financially dependent on a philandering husband—repeating the pattern her parent’s relationship. Tilting explores the unpredictable and mysterious moments in life when it’s clear you can never go back. You must laugh and press on.
Público al que se apunta
The target audience for Tilting are people interested a good story! Generally women living in the US. Additionally, people interested in the airline industry would also find the book interesting as it explores how this non-conventional profession affects families. Finally, other families struck by illness may find solace in the book.

Apparently books sell best in yellow. I am not sure this works for my book.

Necesidades de diseño
My book's title is taken from the first story in my book about our family taking a trip on the Mississippi River on a pontoon boat which was sinking. This is a metaphor for my family.
I like the color YELLOW a lot...but that is not required. I like minimalist covers...
I would love a graphic cover ala Moonglow or The Pornographer, a memoir. These covers are all amazing: https://www.bookish.com/articles/th…s-of-2016/
I want something modern and fresh.
